Wait, you think Bleach is not a series that would benefit from effect-heavy aesthetics? With all the particles and energy beams flying around? One of the things people rightfully praised in this adaptation is the CGI effects, and Ufotable is much better at it than Pierrot. They can also do proper choreography and have very consistent animation even down to the in-betweens. The CGI Hollows from episode 1 wouldn't have been laughed at nor would something like pic related have happened in episode 1 if Ufotable was animating this. We would also not have the "cinematic" lighting making everything washed out or a garish red/purple in the latter cours.
