Silent Hill tackles eldritch horror, liminality, abuse, insecurity, and womanhood. all of that was addressed in the 4 games the team silent made. To truly understand the Silent Hill franchise, people must interlock all the game's story together to get its themes.

speaking of which, does anyone here remember that before team silent dismantle, they were creating Silent Hill 5? They said back then they were going to expand the mythos of the series by exploring horror in the daylight. we could have gotten a new element of phenomena that interacts with the power of the town but be also separate which becomes its own mystery. But we were denied that and we got Silent Hill: Homecoming that took those scrapes ideas for something familiar. that's also the reason why we have gotten many bad games afterwards. Because Konami made those decisions. we don't even have a basic foundation due to them not understanding the series.
