Chu is not an ethnic group retard.

The Chu royal family came from Danyang in Henan, then they conquered multiple other ethnic groups across Hubei, Hunan, Anhui, and then they conquered Jiangsu and Zhejiang from Yue.

People born in Jiangsu like the Han dynasty founder were called Chu people despite having nothing to do with original Chu in Danyang.

The Chu royal family (surname Mi, Xiong) traced it's decent from the Yellow Emperor via Zhuanxu.
