YOSHA LUCKY by himself overwhelmed any good moment the show had. Regardless of what happened, YOSHA LUCKY ruined it. There were other things that might have been okay in another show, but in Kyuranger it hurt the ears, eyes, or both, and if it didn't, it would be accompanied by a second YOSHA LUCKY.
The lack of focus due to the large cast also meant the "anchor" was either Hammie, or Lucky. And because of the relationship between the characters, all Hammie roads lead to Lucky. But it's not like the rest of them were good characters either.
There were definitely other things that chipped away at my patience every week, like two other members I remember finding insanely annoying (Orange and the kid I think?), but they weren't bad enough for me to remember now exactly why I felt that way.
Just little by little it turned from "I hope this gets better" to "I really don't want to watch this week", so I dropped around the mid to late 20s mark. Only other Sentai I've dropped were Sun Vulcan and Goggle V.
