Hi, OP... How's it going? As for myself, I'm doing A-ok. Well, from my personal experience, what's helped me to deal with those feelings of grief and sadness are as follows

1. Getting plenty of sunlight and vitamin D. Doing this helped to lower my sad thoughts pretty noticeably, or at the very least it helped give me energy to help manage those negative thoughts in the first place. Sunlight is definitely important for the body, mind, and soul.

2. Antidepressants. I know this is a paranormal board and medication may be frowned upon, but the fact of the matter is that it helped me improve my depression significantly when I was at my lowest point in life. I don't personally believe I will be on antidepressants forever, but it's a good thing to take to help you get back up on your feet and figure out a more long-term and permanent solution to improve and overcome your depression, so it's worth looking into and taking it for yourself for the short-to-mid term in your life's journey.

3. Try your best to not let this inner-thoughts rule over your life. Sometimes the best thing to do in situations where you feel confused and overwhelmed by your thoughts and life in general is to simply set them aside for now and instead distract yourself and focus on the little, enjoyable things in life like watching youtube videos, playing games, drinking coffee, or going for long walks outside. Anything that can help you focus on the here and the now instead of the past or the future. This has usually helped me out while I was doing the above 2 things as well.

4. Last but not least, always remember to never give up on hope and in victory no matter how difficult or pointless things may get for you. As long as you keep going and fighting for your precious life, you will overcome this difficult trial and tribulation and become a happier and stronger person for it. That is something I can promise for sure! Anyways, I wish you good luck, please take care, and godspeed OP.
