Interesting account of a home defense situation

TLDR:

>guy wakes up in the middle of the night from his home security app
>sees 2 masked men in his driveway
>gets rifle and goes downstairs to confront them
>meanwhile, wife turns on light and bangs window at intruders letting them know that they know they're there
>instead of fleeing, they set up an ambush for the husband
>he opens the front door and is greeted with gunfire
>miraculously doesn't get hit and squeezes off some rounds at the fleeing intruders

I guess it's a good reminder that not every intruder will tuck tail and run when discovered
