God gave us his image, and granted us true freedom so much so that we were even free to reject him and hate him. But what will come from rejection of goodness but evil? Thus we stewards of creation brought forth evil into the world. He allows such evils to continue so few can see our folly for what it is and return to him. And when the time comes he will bring us true freedom from evil.

You might tell me in response that this is a nice story but how can you know this to be the case? Our Lord Jesus Christ shows his love for you in his cross on it the eternal God died so you may live. This is the greatest sign of God that he who was he who was beyond crying cried, he who was beyond starving starved, He who was beyond dying died. All of it just for you not as some vague concept but truly for you personally. Before you were even born he knew you by your name and he cherished the thought of you being born truly like a father awaiting his child. If you turn your ways God will make things right for you, not through flashy miracles which the Jews of old quickly forgot but through true healing of the soul.
You were made to cherish the Good, don't run from it to despair.
