To me internalized homophobia and class differences doesn't really get to the core of it. I think just the shock of having your lord, who you've become close friends with despite the differences in social standing, kiss you in 15th century Bohemia would elicit a visceral reaction like Henry pulling away. I don't think Henry could identify what he was feeling himself prior to the kiss, even though he undoubtedly had very strong feelings for Hans. Then you add on the medieval religious factor and honestly it's a very layered, complex interaction
