That could definitely be a possible climax. Although I feel it will play out more like this. His suit finally gets repaired midway through but then he gets too overconfident. Eventually disregarding SDN and the team he reluctantly works with. Up until he makes a mistake that puts him in a desparate situation that he can't solve on his own. Realizing there's more to Mecha Man than the suit. Cliche I know but it wouldn't seem out of place to me.
