I'm not saying it's useless technology even at its current state but basically, its only slightly more anonymous than 4chan. If your threat model includes governments, it's insecure. Eventually they'll start coming for people that say [X] online and hyphanet isn't going to be a safe refuge.

I wish them the best in their development efforts, especially around security and strengthening anonymity.
