>Meet Natalie Moore.
>She is a senior official at the Ministry of Defence (MoD) and the civil servant in charge of Afghan resettlement applications.
>There is curiously little info about her online... but what we do know?
>She played a pivotal role in the secret Afghan resettlement scheme—and more critically, she appears to have been central to the government’s efforts to lie about it.
>During a closed court hearing in February 2024, Moore told the judge that a statement would be made to Parliament to “provide cover” for the real reason thousands of Afghans were secretly arriving in Britain.
>It was then that the court saw an internal briefing paper, which outlined the govt's plan to “control the narrative” and launch a “robust public comms strategy” that would present “the scale, but not the cause,” of the resettlement.
>In other words, they intended to put forward an "agreed narrative"—not to inform MPs and the public, but to mislead them.
>And it gets worse...
>Some of the Afghans resettled under the emergency scheme have since been reported to have brought as many as 22 “family” members with them.
>Government sources told The Telegraph that, on average, each Afghan brought eight relatives to Britain.
>Again, it looks like our judiciary's reading of ECHR rules are partly facilitating this but the scheme Moore helped devise no doubt played a large part too.
>So not only was she involved in the plan to mislead people—she also oversaw the lax system that’s allowed thousands to enter the country at speed, many of whom weren’t even named in the original data breach.
All our villains really are just the most boring people. I am also reminded that one of the key reasons Sunak called a surprise early election last year was that the day before a judge ruled that the super injunction was to be lifted. Clearly the sooner the election the more of the Tories that could be saved.
