There's no shadow bans. Did you adjust your search filters to something highly specific? Or set your age to 80 at sign-up? As mentioned when you sign up, your age is one factor which determines your matches, and you'll have a shit experience if you enter the wrong age

Yes. It's even against the rules on parts of 4chan, with varying levels of enforcement on each board. I've seen racist posts removed from /a/. I think /pol/ was meant as the containment board for that stuff

I have my own personal opinions about how people should behave and respond, but when moderating I try my best to ignore those and consider what the community would want, and what laws apply. Although some things that result in jail time in the UK are protected speech in the US, which makes it very difficult to please everyone
