I got into it because of the really fearsome wrathful yidams, but the realization is that everything you do has to be for the benefit of others, so if you're sort of a left-of-field sorcerer type like me, you're not going to have a good time.

That said, I feel strongly some of those wrathful beings are ancient spirits in their own right, but I guess now they are trapped in the Dharmic paradigm. It sucks.
