Don't be a retard anon, there's no tendie boogeyman. The fact of the matter is that Elden Ring is propped up by decades of Souls circle jerking that people dare not give it less than a 9/10 for fear of being a "casual" when these games aren't even really that hard to begin with. They're normalfags that are unable to see that FROM went quantity > quality with Elden Ring. The catacombs are copypasted. Bosses are reused often. We're STILL rolling with no evolution in mechanics because they're sticking to the formula so fucking hard.

I recently finished Shadow of the Erdtree and it was possibly one of the worst """expansions""" I've ever played. I only played it cause someone gifted it to me out of the blue. Reusing Radahn is so fucking lazy it's laughable, even the shills can't excuse it. I need to replay Sekiro sometime and cleanse my palate from the shit named Elden Ring.

>The open world allows for locations, encounters and bosses that would be impossible in a semi-linear experience
How so? What's so special about the encounters in ER? Can't wait to fight the ninth Tree Sentinel in a row.
>Well obviously, they're were the best stuff is concentrated
Okay, so why bother making it open world? The open world is filler, people grab shit for their build and fuck off towards the nearest legacy dungeon.
>Where you can find the tools you need to make your build and tackle those same legacy dungeons
Boring. Put the loot inside the linear levels and dungeons, hide them in secret areas if you have to, fixed.
>Because it's the best game in the series
If you eat whatever FROM shits out, sure.
>But the normal enemies aren't zombies, the torn rotting shambling naked corpses are zombies, who aren't nearly as ubiquitous
Not literal zombies, I was criticizing FROM for once again making a game in a dying world set after anything interesting has happened. It's getting fucking old.
