If you're talking about Boushh, the sculpt is different. The new ANH one does not have the same head sculpt as archive either because everything on it is new expect the legs.

There might be some instances where recent is better like with the upcoming Cal Kestis in the Turgle set. But overall it definitely has downgraded. They used to have a little bit more shading around the face, now they just do bare minimum eyes and lips.
