Yeah, I don't think I want to touch this game mode anymore. It's broken in a horrible way. The roguelite layer has unnecessarily restrictive buffs, the action layer is stupidly easy now and battles end after 2-3 basic attacks, both layers clash with each other, there's too much fluff text, whole levels are way too long.

The old 1.4 somnoire was waaaay superior. TPP only, you quickly move between battle zones, being unable to switch characters in the middle of the run forced you to pay attention to enemy attacks and the whole challenge had simple, steady flow. The complete overhaul was unnecessary. If they wanted to tell longer stories, they should have separated the "reading part" from the "gameplay part".
