Narcissists will apologize without ever actually apologizing. Saying shit like "I'm sorry for caring".
Sometimes they'll just say "i'm sorry" but it's clear they don't really care. They are sorry they got caught lying, or that there are consequences for their behavior. They are never sorry for the damage they did, because they don't care. Narcissists only care about themselves; everyone else is merely living in their world, and they are either a useful person, unimportant, or a threat to their identity.
