It's really frustrating when they introduce some cool plot thread or a cool new character, but then immediately and unsatisfactorily conclude them and move onto the next thing. And then the final stretch becomes straight up nostalgia wank. I know some fans really like that shit, but I see it as disrespectful. These themes and characters should not just be callbacks and cameos to decorate your show with, they should be explored and evolved properly.
