So the question is always asked by the new generation "why didn't they use the original art". And since I was a kid at the time of 4th Gen, I can say it's because we wouldn't have bought something with these original aesthetics. Picrel for example, I would have thought was e weird girls game and wasn't made by a reputable company. The image on the right, I might have bought because it looks like HeMan or Conan or something else I was familiar with. It still wouldn't be my first choice at a game store still because it's a girl and playing as a girl could get you labeled gay back then, but still a possibility where the original box wouldn't have been considered
