The Lies of P dlc story doesn't make any sense.
>"The zoo burned down long ago"
>Zombies everywhere
Even though we saw the carcasses slowly "developing" during the main game (Krat City Hall boss run foreshadows the carcasses with a zombie next to a wall).
>"The hotel? This must be before the grand opening"
What? Antonia is an old lady and a loading screen tells us she's the proud owner of the hotel. Did she only own it for a few years before the events of the main game?
>Relic of Trismegistus and Kroud
Instead of them, we have a giant alchemist facility and set of ruins under the hotel, which have somehow vanished by the time of the base game
>Lea doesn't recognise us
This, as well as the "zoo burned down long ago" comment, imply that Carlo's been dead for many years. Yet Romeo seems to be a young man and immediately recognises us in the main game, and Lea looks 25 in the DLC, but she's an adult while Romeo and Carlo are kids (isle of alchemists visions before the Arche Abbey ascent), so she must be a fair bit older than us.
>The petrification disease?
>But the puppet frenzy has not yet happened
So the petrification disease hit, many characters know the alchemists are responsible and work against them and there are zombies everywhere, but then many years of Belle Époque Krat somehow happened and Venigni did all his great things and only THEN Geppeto unleashed the puppet frenzy? And the petrification disease kept going this whole time, or the alchemists started "curing" people again some time later? This is complete nonsense.
Rather a pity, given the fairly simple but straightforward story of the base game.

It's awesome. Almost on par with Fromsoft's best stuff, what your first reply told you. Not as good as Sekiro, and not as good as the best parts of Elden Ring, but better than most of the rest of the From roster. The weapons and movesets are fun, I like parryslop, and the telegraphs and hitboxes are extremely tight, and it's a delight to play.
