In Marvel Rivals it's even more ridiculous. Tony Stark, a random techbro, learns that mutants exist. His immediate reaction is to personally design and mass produce giant robots meant to kill them in case there's ever a race war, and of course he chooses to stockpile this private murderbot army in the middle of Manhattan with the keys left in the ignition.
Like imagine if Peter Thiel was revealed to have constructed a private killer drone fleet with an onboard AI designed to profile and target an arbitrary segment of the US citizenry, and he had parked this fleet, fully armed with explosive rocket munition, in a hangar somewhere in Brooklyn while he waited for a countrywide race war to break out. That sounds retarded and it's exactly what Tony Stark did here.
