Elves are often very involved in their settings lore and history (it's probably a combination of being magical and being an ancient race), but as much they are my personal favorite race, give the other races also some narrative purpose and weight.
Bonus points if they aren't treating on the elves toes by doing that and instead just do their own cool shit
