There were like two Christian based threads made on /v/ today, both which lasted for quite a while, with one even hitting bump limit, but both basically just devolved into a shit ton of people just seething and everything single mention of Jesus and and God of Christianity in general. One seemed to mainly be Atheists, and the other was specifically a shit ton of Muslims, for whatever reason.

How come there's so much immediate hate and vitriol spewed at the slightest mention of this stuff? I mean, I kind of know it already, it's already bee told by Jesus Himself that this is how you'll basically be treated by most if you choose to follow Him, but it's still weird to just see it in straight up full display like that and with such burning hatred.

And normally, it's not even anything originally. Just the exact same pattern of thoughts and arguments that you here spat out over and over again to the point you sort of just become numb to it and able to just easily predict what they're going to say next. Doesn't help either that you can even predict the majority who talk against it are mainly miserable people with no aim in life and who instead of possibly giving religion a try and see whether it does manage to help them or not, they just attack it and attempt to feel better about themselves by pretending to somehow be smarter than others.

It's just this very specific type of pattern that seems to repeat itself over and over again. It's very weird.
