honestly, that's all I was expecting from the big announcement about the 5 civs, speculating stuff about An-Shi rebellion or Yue Fei and the Jin-Song wars, only to be crushed by 3 Kingdoms
it's also super weird now because one of the "problems" was that China, Korea, and Japan didn't have campaigns, and now we also have the Khitans and Jurchens without campaigns. There's a clear audience that only plays Age for the scenarios and compstomps, so there's definitely a market for that sort of thing, and I think having a focused Scenario pack (ie, making campaigns for all 5 civs) would be much more appreciated that how V&V was a smattering of individual (mod workshop) scenario,
Still, this is now making an expansion for expansion content, something that's never been done before for the game. There'd probably have to be some kind of benefit, such as unlocking the Khitans and Jurchen for MP, but that now makes it weirdly redundant with Three Kingdoms. Maybe they could add some extra "unlock the Tibetans and Tanguts" onto the side, the same kind of grift as Return of Rome?
Speaking of Return of Rome, they had originally floormapped adding the other Age1 campaigns for free, so those were expected, but nothing was promised for the K&J, so it's up in the air if they'd do anything of the sort
>Note: the Tanguts and Xia in Mongol3 (into China) are STILL Chinese after 3 months
