Could a military successfully snowball several generations of physicists into believing a branch of physics doesn't exist?
I'm specifically referring to antigravity and gravity shielding research. There is a hypothesis that Louis Witten discovered something interdasting in the '60s, then cooked up string theory with some help from others and his son to give physicists several decades of the run around so no one else would discover antigravity.

I know exactly what I posted, I don't even remember Anon naming it. The first postings on it were only a few years ago and basically nothing else. To me it looks like a stop-gap for F-35's capabilities but using '90s tech. IIRC Anon said it might have flown in concert with the F-111.
