People have no idea what it's like to be able to get 3 massages a week and what that does to your body. Huge quality of life benefit (in USA you're probably getting a 1hr massage for $100 in most places).
>Argentia
I went there early November 2023 and left May 2024, (also spent 1 and a half months in Brazil during Carnival).
Back then you could get a 400-450g ribeye for $12 and that was big enough to share with another person plus a side. And the quality of the meat was really incredible (still probably is). picrel
For housing you could find a good 1 BR in Palermo for $1,500-2000/mo, not as luxurious as Bangkok apartments but imo I liked BA as a city way better than Bangkok.
Fortunately or unfortunately Milei actually fixed a lot of things and now for expats it's almost as expensive as life in America, I had a buddy go there this last December and he was saying the place we used to grab steaks at for $12 is now like $22-25. Housing is probably a bit more expensive now too but then again idk I've heard he unlocked a lot of the housing supply due to de-regulations so maybe that balanced it out.
I went to Buenos Aires, Bariloche, and Mendoza. Overall really loved the country I just wish it was cheap like it used to be.
>Bali
No time in Java, I stayed in Canggu, Ubud, and Uluwatu. If you're single Bali is great because there's a lot of meetup groups for foreigners. But Bali is not really developed, super dirty and overcrowded. I liked Thailand way better than Bali, I wouldn't recommend it unless you are single or like to surf.
Also Bali belly is a real thing and I got a really bad case of it there. I think it was actually from swimming and not the food, I swam on a beach that was 200-300 meters away from a "river" runoff. (river of shit probably)
>Brazil
I went to Rio De Janeiro, Cabo Frio, Iguazu falls, and Buzios. Brazil was pretty fun but not incredibly cheap and definitely not as safe as Argentina.(1/2)
