All of the streamers you see on Twitch have a shill or a grift of some kind.

You do not get even one viewer on Twitch without having one or the other. Either get raided by someone popular while you are doing a popular thing, or have some kind of grift on /v/ that gets you a small cult following.

The people who tell you "Don't shill", yeah these people want you to fail. They couldn't stand knowing that you could be successful while they're not, even if the success is limited, and will demand you play on their level (99% of /v/ doesn't stream because they're brown and have thick indian accents, btw)
