Since the moment she was born, Asuri's life has been consumed by violence. It exists in all aspects of life, even in so-called civilized society, but most take this fact for granted. For them, it's a tool — a means to an end. She sees the truth and understands that violence is not a part of life, but life itself, and has embraced this. It penetrates the whole of her being on a deeper level than simple displays of force, tainting even the most seemingly innocuous actions, and the sweetest words drip with sinister intent. She has no higher aim in participating in the Ultimate Question than living 'honestly' and reaffirming her beliefs through her victory.
Or so she claims. The truth of violence is indeed at the forefront of her mind, but a part of her longs to be more 'normal' and enjoy life outside of the unrelenting haze of aggression. To that end, she has thrust herself into the public eye and begun to indulge in vices she previously paid no heed to. Most can't hope to match the thrill she feels from a fight, but the world of fashion has caught her interest. Her understanding of such a lofty thing is juvenile, and her brash mindset demands that her outfit choices tend to be gaudy and overbearing. Still, it's the gentlest way she knows to express herself.
