You don't play a role in it, outside of combat the options are very very limited. It's merely a Fallout combat simulator. Not that that's a bad thing really.
But for fuck's sake, you can't even call out Gorsky on his bullshit. The player freedom in dialogues (the meat of role playing) is non-existent.
