And am I ever thankful for that. I feel like had they not made all the romanceable companions bisexual. All whom would have been avaliable as a m/m romance would've been Astarion. At least that wasn't the case.

The feeling is mutual. Good to hear somebody has a likeminded viewpoint. It boggles me as to why these writers tend to delve into those tropes when developing said character. I don't mean to whine but there's definitely room out there to go outside the box. No need to write the same thing over and over.

I don't like it either. What's the strangest about it is how they keep patting themselves on the back about how these guys bring something new to the table. Or are an inversion of certain characters/archetypes. When it's nothing further from the truth. Hopefully something decent comes from them but I doubt it. I definitely do hope Larian's next project delivers once more. It would suck if BG3 and what it had to offer was just a one time deal.
