I pay $40 a week for picrel from a local organic hippy collective's CSA. My meat is from a local whole animal butcher. It's about the same price (ground beef, a whole chicken, some sausages, and 2 pork chops, usually). My bread comes from the local French bakery (organic, imported French flour, $15 for four baguettes). We eat half a baguette each day for breakfast (1/4 each). Cheese comes from the local cheese shop (there's not really much to brag about because everything is pasteurized in the USA). I buy the trader joes reserve label French wines for everyday drinking (~$50 a week).
Nothing is packaged like the shit you've bought. You can do better.
