That's when the starts to figure out what it's doing. That's why I mentioned the story started to move when Scar was introduced. Chapters 3, 4, 1.1, and 1.2 are when they got their act together with the story. 1, 2, and 5 were poorly done, explained, and paced.

>this is chixia's response
Yes, and it's a very poor response because next to nothing is explained after that fact unless you get this specific loading screen. I still don't really know what the Etheric Sea is outside of it being an inverted sky that spawns Tacet Fields, and that's something you have to glean from this loading screen as well.

>The game directly explains from the start what happened to the world, what each "keyword" is and means, and lays its sound/frequency themes very clearly from the get go.
Not to an acceptable degree otherwise this wouldn't be the number 1 complaint about 1.0's story and its pacing. It pussyfoots around many of the concepts, ties the explanation of major concepts to the loading screens, and just does a basic overview of each concept that doesn't really help going forward when they start using these concepts more often.
>The Etheric Sea isn't explained at all, Chixia just keeps talking about it. Yangyang explains the Sentinels, the countries they govern, and the leaders who use them which is fine.
>Tacet Fields are explained to randomly form in locations and they hold TDs, but they don't explain anything past that.
>Baizhi explains Reverberations but only from the concept of what Echoes are, not that Tacet Discords are them stealing people's frequencies that they then mimic.
>Yangyang does explain that everything is made up of frequencies but doesn't go past that in that discussion.
>Terminals are explained as something Jinzhou researchers made by Chixia and that you can absorb Reverberations to make Echoes.
>Resonators are covered I think in chapter 2 when they start talking about Overclocking but in a brief sense of how they work.
