I won the argument and chose not to engage further because he is obviously a disingenuous moron who purposefully alluded to the PvP stat on Epoch being full on resilience as it appeared in TBC and/or Wrath, or some amalgam inbetween (that is to say, reducing player damage, crit chance, and dot/drain damage) and hoping people will believe him at face value and be scared off the server (what he hopes to gain by doing this, I do not know)
However, the matter of the fact is, the "resilience" on Epoch is just a flat reduction of player damage received. Like it or dislike it, it is an incentive to actually use PvP in PvP content as you'd expect. Whether it'll be a good or a bad thing remains to be seen.
