Good raw, combat/field mechanics. Bad gameplay loop, horrible story presentation and schizophrenic decision to force director's self-insert. It's the MGSV problem - anemic content carried by gameplay mechanics. Which just makes the whole thing more tragic.

But at least it's a success as a reboot and will be used as a template for a better sequel.

Yes the replayability for this game is severely crippled in comparison to the usual Musou title. Because they've spent most of the time and effort reinventing the combat. Chances are, I will never play it ever again if Origins 2 comes out relatively soon because it'll completely eclipse it and supersede it.
