At one point, they put a link to a voice call page where you just typed in a name and didn't need to create an account or download anything; everyone could have it open in the other tab.
This way, those who wanted to speak could ask permission, and Purp would give them, one by one, a moment to speak and share their opinions about the con, thank everyone, etc.
You could do this and let anyone participate and defend a position, shitposting or trying to be serious, based on a dichotomy or question you proposed.
A basic one that anyone could give their opinion on, whether serious or not.
