chuck's team fine but would result into a lower level distribution so they'd be easier to sweep

the key would still be mons movepools, some of these are cool on paper but utter shit in reality once you remember the levels you are supposed to face them

Also Pineco would be considered too "broken" for a second gym as self ko damaging attacks were the most powerful attacks until Gen 5 happened nerfing them, and Shuckle for example would have been challenging enough at sponging attacks and doing respectable annoying but reliable Wrap damage, better than his cocoons acting as set up fodder.
