He’s right lol and based for saying it, fuck these critics gags with their goofy ass names and cross armed rantsonas
The thing is tho, this is actually one big benefit of going to art school, im that you will be critiqued by an artist who is either working in the industry or has worked in the industry. You will get far better critiques on what you are doing wrong with your drawing and with your stories, from people who know their shit. I know we all want to bash art schools, justifiably so, but they come with this very positive aspect. I also highly advise people to join industry storyboarding and animation discords, I joined one and it completely changed how I view perspective.
Also some of these “critics” are total creeps. I’ve seen these fucks obsess over the personal lives of industry artists on Twitter, specially right-leaning critics. Don’t get me started on DaftPina who behaves less like a critic and more like tabloid journalist. Others see themselves and temporarily embarrassed showrunners who care less about examining art and more about their own cartoon, however saying “this sucks”, “that sucks” will not make you a better storyteller, that takes years of hard work and trial and error, hence why most critic cartoons suck
