Maybe I wasn't clear, but I mean "clunky" as in "less believable" and not "sluggish".
Like I previously stated, Mega Gyarados looks a hell of a lot more sluggish, as does Abomasnow, Heracross, and Garchomp to an extent. But at least these creatures can believably fight and move.
This is contrast to things like Sableye, which even the anime needed to retcon that the gem shrinks when taking damage so they can remove it. Or Slowbro, which would imply that it's tail is both incredibly sturdy AND Slowbro of all pokemon gained an immaculate sense of balance? It's such a weird thing that makes the creature less believable.
