We tie not only basic survival into our corporate slavery, but necessities that the supposedly richest country in the world should have no problem handling. Housing, food needs, health care, education. We take those who seek higher education, for the betterment of theirselves and their communities, and we shove them into the pit of debt to the tune of hundreds of thousands of dollars with only a piece of paper to show for it. We inundate then with tired ideas such as social justice, so they are too busy fighting a culture war to fight the economic one.
We charge a months wages for a months rent and wonder why people are ready to burn whole cities to the ground. We are fed the lie that our money is inflating while corporations simultaneously raise the prices of everything from groceries to gasoline, all in the name of unsustainable record profits for every quarter going forward. They do not want you to be able to afford to express your beliefs. They want you to be under the threat of homelessness and starvation by going into the streets against them.
