I have a question.

Why is it so difficult to do magic that contradicts known reality? Why is it always subtle shit that could just as easily be chalked up to coincidence? Why can't we shapeshift or make illusions or conjure visible spirits or elemental constructs like the things seen in legends and folklore?

To what extent is it truly magic, if we can't actually affect reality to a noticeable extent?
