Because none of the dudes did. People forget but Rivals 1 started with ALL of them just being animals who stood on their hind legs for the most part. Not even Zetter had his loin cloth back then. In the case of the Dan original cast, Maypul was more or less an actual Raccoon which never ended up changing, Absa wears a loin, the snake is a snake, and the rabbit actually wore a jump suit.
Then comes the next era which was after the world got better defined which is around dungeons where fleet is actually the first wearing a real outfit outside of Lovers(distinction being in they'd only wear shit in a more modern set of times)
