In general it's a lot easier to tell what's wrong when you include metadata and maybe a before/after pic.
Anyway, inpainting on Comfy is done through ImpactPack, MaskDetailer node. I try to avoid custom nodes whenever possible, but this one is a must-have just to have parity with the other UIs. https://litter.catbox.moe/l2qnezlpwd0v2wb9.png
Check their documentation for what all the settings do, but the main thing you'll adjust is denoise, that is how much the impainted area is allowed to change. If you go too high the model will just fill in crap from your prompt disregarding the original image; if you go too low it won't be able to make the changes you want. Takes a bit of fiddling until you get a feel for it.
