It's the weirdest thing, I get the feeling the people who constantly cry about how bad the board is, pretend no discussion happens here, and bemoan how everything is better anywhere else while providing nothing themselves don't have a real interest in contributing to the board's health.
If I didn't know any better I'd think their aim is to get you to post somewhere else. I guess data becomes more valuable the fewer people that hold it.

So we know why originals are a hard sell - they require a team to get upfront funding on something that has no prior fanbase, the marketplace is largrly saturated, Production comittees have a great system where they outsource the risk of launching a new IP and its storyboards to mangaka that they can fund at lower stakes and find a marketplace naturally as its produced - but is there a way to make originals succeed?
Marketing, hype, the thrill of not knowing whats coming next week by week till you've got people naturally buzzing about the series online causing a cascading marketing effect - is that just not enough to outweigh safety? Is there anything that can outweigh that safety?
