The baby Tanuki from episode 10 is the most annoying retard in the whole show. The others at least grew on me, but it was still jarring to have such a dark opening to the show and implication that humanity was extinct only to have goofy aliens everywhere.
Then it turned out humanity was fine and hadn't bothered checking in for 500 years because reasons. Kino ending and show though, I loved it but it does NOT need a sequel, even if it ends in a manner that could allow for one.
