It's an excellent game. Anyone else who is telling you the COMPLETE opposite is full of shit.

Pros:
* Fantastic art design
* INCREDIBLE OST
* Best gameplay of the SMT series

Indifferent:
* Linear open world replaces "dungeons"
* Interesting story premise
* Though the story is not really gripping. Has some nice, and memorable scenes here and there, but the overall script is just meh.
* Vengeance route sadly stays pretty close to Original game until third area, but then reuses the fourth area too.

Cons:
* Actual dungeons in this game are a FUCKING slog
* Mini map destroys any form of exploration
* Aitvaras' design (fuck off with those Pokemon designs)

Game gets even better with the Sempiternal Mod (HARDTYPE for VV):
