Yeah, I don't see what the point is of adding yet another bait relationship for Mike.
Everyone knows he won't be able to sustain a enduring relationship with anyone as long as things remain unsettled with Lucy.
Either they somehow end up together, or they make peace definitely and each go their own way, but there is zero chance that Mike will be portrayed happily with anyone as long as the Lucy and Sandy situation still stands.
