In case it wasn't clear the reason this is relevant is because the DLC all leads reboot Vergil into going back to their childhood home, which is dubbed "Paradise" in the reboot. And you know Eva, the fruit, all that? He also meets his mother and throws his heart away during the DLC. DMC5 reuses that whole plot of Vergil coming back as the Demon King.
