Don't be misleading. The Plasma Gun's Overload profile is so BARELY better (+0.05 w) that it could be considered equivalent, and is noticeably worse (-0.35 w) once 2.0 plasma reaches 12" range.
Or 8", for the doomers who will be Evaded 100% of the time.
I don't even mention "Safe" plasma because you need 27 shots to kill a single terminator lmao.
