The spell ends early immediately after the target makes an attack roll, deals damage, or casts a spell.
Clear and concise. Hitting an enemy with an acid vial breaks the invisibility spell, but not the invisible condition granted from hiding. but you can throw a net and restrain a target while remaining invisible.

This is what happens when WotC cuts corners when making the fucking rules for their game.
