Yeah and the Simpsons really fucked Boomer's perception of nuclear energy too despite it being fucking fiction. Ironic that this is the same generation that told us Millennials not to believe everything we see on TV.
Like no lakes don't suddenly glow fucking green if you build a nuclear power and in fact your drinking water is gonna be a hell of a lot cleaner than if say you lived next to a coal plant. Less destructive too, mega dams by comparison fuck ecosystems up in all kinds of ways often leading to drought for anyone down stream.
